T minus 2 Hours !

Well this is.. Animation Mentor truly begins in 2 hours.. because in that amount of time I shall be meeting my classmates and mentor during the live Q&A! I'm excited! Can't wait... must..wait..

So just who is this guy anyway, and what's animation?

Well, he's like any other young adult you'd encounter on the street with an opinion of his own for everything, who's 6'3" and yet doesn't feel particularly tall, who likes cheese with practically anything, who loves 3D and Design, who loves music so much that he enjoys listening to any kind or style of it, who gives a lot to all the people around him without a thought of wanting anything in return.. Well, he's like any other individual, since we're all unique in our own ways aren't we?

And that's what Character Animation is all about. Giving life to a character, to a person, to a thing, an object or a wall or an environment or a tree, anything! It's giving it life and making it unique, make it seem like a living breathing thing that has a mind of it's own. It's a matter of getting inside it's skin and realizing that you can make this puppet live, much like Pinocchio.

Animation is giving life, it's going beyond what is practical and visible in front of you, and going inside and underneath to work the magic.
